Join us as we embark on an exciting journey in transforming the treatment landscape of acute myeloid leukemia (AML). We are searching for a dynamic and seasoned Associate Director/Director of Marketing to play a pivotal role in the development and implementation of comprehensive marketing strategies for our first commercial launch as an organization. 

Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Brand Strategy and Marketing, you will be instrumental in crafting and executing integrated marketing plans to drive disease education, brand awareness and early adoption of our lead asset (ziftomenib). Working closely with cross-functional teams, your expertise in hematology/oncology, strategic thinking, and track record of successful marketing initiatives will be crucial in shaping, executing, and optimizing personalized omnichannel disease education and promotional campaigns targeted towards healthcare professionals (HCP), patients, caregivers and other relevant stakeholders. 


  • Campaign Development: Support the conceptualization and lead the implementation of integrated marketing campaigns, utilizing traditional and digital channels to effectively reach target audiences.  
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate on the development and execution of strategic marketing plans aligned with our overall business objectives, aligned to the brand positioning and strategy for our lead asset (ziftomenib). 
  • Market Analysis: Utilize market research insights to uncover opportunities, identify trends, and assess competitive landscapes within the AML sector. Implement data-driven media and channel activation campaigns to optimize brand campaigns and performance. 
  • Messaging: Contribute to the creation of compelling and differentiated messaging tailored for key stakeholders (HCP and Patients), ensuring consistent and high-impact communication across all channels.  
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Works closely with I&A, Medical Affairs, Sales, Legal, and Regulatory to ensure alignment and integration of marketing strategies and communications.  
  • KOL Engagement: Foster meaningful relationships with National, Regional and Local opinion leaders in hematology/oncology to create peer-to-peer exchange to build brand influencers and advocates.  
  • Budget Management: Contribute to the effective management of the marketing budget, optimizing resources to achieve maximum impact and return on investment.  
  • Performance Measurement: Support establishing and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of marketing initiatives and adjust strategies accordingly. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, advanced degree preferred. 
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in marketing in the oncology or hematology space. 
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing fully integrated marketing strategies. Must have the ability to effectively collaborate with, motivate and influence various levels/grades within the organization and outside of the organization. 
  • Strong understanding of external stakeholder environment.  
  • Knowledge of marketing, strategic and long-range planning, training, and market access 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.  
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams. 
  • Passion for improving the lives of patients and caregivers affected by oncology and hematology conditions. Ability to travel up to 15% of the time; domestic and limited international

The Company is also conducting a series of clinical trials to evaluate ziftomenib in combination with current standards of care in newly diagnosed and R/R NPM1-mutant and KMT2A-rearranged AML. Tipifarnib, a potent and selective farnesyl transferase inhibitor (FTI), is currently in a Phase 1/2 trial in combination with alpelisib for patients with PIK3CA-dependent head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (KURRENT-HN). Kura is also evaluating KO-2806, a next-generation FTI, in a Phase 1 dose-escalation trial as a monotherapy and in combination with targeted therapies (FIT-001).
