About the Role
We’re seeking a passionate Automotive Engineering leader to head our ADAS Domain. You’ll define future ADAS/AD systems and in-cabin user experiences, while leading a team that supports our ADAS services across engineering, sales, and business development.
At HARMAN AES, our mission is to help customers integrate ADAS solutions into vehicle platforms. This includes 3rd-party software integration and adapting legacy systems for modern SDV architectures.
As Domain Lead, you'll shape our ADAS offerings and roadmap, grow team competencies, and develop tools to reduce costs and accelerate delivery. You’ll drive solutioning during RFQs and proactively pitch to customers.
A key part of your role will be supporting sales and maintaining customer relationships, while co-developing our Go-to-Market strategy for ADAS.
What You Will Do:
- Define the ADAS services portfolio and roadmap based on demand and industry trends
- Collaborate with Sales on Go-to-Market strategy and customer engagement plans
- Support business development via customer meetings, presentations, marketing, and intelligence gathering
- Develop and maintain the ADAS competency map; drive hiring and skill development
- Lead RFI/RFQ responses and business pursuits with the ADAS team
- Oversee internal PoC, demo, and accelerator development
- Contribute to investment planning and resource allocation
- Guide Engineering teams on ADAS customer projects and consultancy services
- Maintain internal knowledge base and contribute to social media content
What You Need to Be Successful:
- Master’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in ADAS/AD system design (including functional safety) in OEM programs
- Proven experience in solutioning and collaboration with Sales for business development
- Knowledge in ADAS/AD system integration, function allocation, and E/E architecture interaction
- Familiarity with ISO26262, ISO21448, and ISO21434 standards
- Experience with SysML, model-based architecture, and relevant tools
- Strong leadership and team motivation skills
- Understanding of ADAS/AD sensors, actuators, and architecture trends
Bonus Points if You:
- Have existing customer relationships relevant to HARMAN
- Have experience in Engineering Services Business
- Speak German
What Makes You Eligible:
- Willing to travel up to 20%, both domestically and internationally
- Able to be present at the Garching or Bochum office as needed (other locations possible)
- Hold a valid work permit
