We are seeking a talented and motivated ADAS Data Annotation Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with Perception and Data Engineers to streamline and automate the process of annotating Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) data. Your expertise in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and data annotation will be critical in building and optimizing pipelines that enhance the accuracy and efficiency of our ADAS systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand and Implement Data Annotation Guidelines:
    • Comprehend and apply ADAS data annotation guidelines to ensure consistent and accurate labeling of datasets.
    • Work with cross-functional teams to refine and update annotation standards as needed.
  • Automate Data Annotation Pipelines:
    • Develop and maintain pipelines to automate the data annotation process.
    • Utilize scripting and programming skills to integrate automation tools that minimize manual intervention.
    • Collaborate with the engineering team to identify and solve bottlenecks in the annotation process.
  • Collaborate with Perception and Data Engineers:
    • Work alongside Perception Engineers to ensure that annotated data meets the requirements of machine learning models.
    • Partner with Data Engineers to optimize data flow and storage, ensuring seamless integration of annotated datasets.
  • Apply Computer Vision and Machine Learning Fundamentals:
    • Leverage knowledge of Computer Vision and Machine Learning to develop algorithms that enhance the accuracy of data annotations.
    • Experiment with and implement cutting-edge techniques to improve annotation quality and efficiency.
  • Platform Development:
    • Contribute to the development of a future platform that will standardize and scale ADAS data labeling.
    • Provide input on architecture, tools, and processes to ensure the platform meets the needs of a rapidly evolving field.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience in data annotation, particularly in the ADAS or automotive domain.
    • Strong background in Computer Vision and Machine Learning.
    • Experience with annotation tools and platforms, as well as knowledge of data labeling best practices.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or similar.
    • Experience with data annotation tools like Labelbox, CVAT, or custom-built solutions.
    • Familiarity with automation frameworks and pipeline development.
    • Understanding of ADAS systems and sensor technologies (e.g., LiDAR, cameras, radar).
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

 

Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.  (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)

Base Pay Range (Annual)

$123,200$169,400 USD
