Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Configuration
Record to Report (R2R)
Own and govern the Workday Financial Data Model (FDM).
Configure and maintain business processes for Journals, Fixed Assets, and Allocations.
Design, implement, and manage the period-close checklist to reduce close timelines and improve efficiency.
Adaptive Planning
Maintain and monitor integrations between Workday Core Financials and Adaptive Planning.
Manage versions, sheets, and level hierarchies for annual budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning.
Support ongoing enhancements and optimization of Adaptive models.
Tax & Treasury
Configure and manage Bank Account Management, settlement rules, and ad-hoc bank transactions.
Maintain withholding tax configurations and sales tax adapter integrations.
Support treasury-related operational activities and compliance requirements.
Reporting
Design and maintain Composite Reports for external financial statements, including Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, and Cash Flow statements.
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance of financial reporting outputs.
Support & Operational Activities
Period Close Support
Provide hands-on support during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
Troubleshoot and resolve critical issues such as unposted journals, accounting date mismatches, and validation errors impacting close.
Bank Reconciliation
Investigate and resolve bank statement lines failing automated reconciliation.
Support exception handling and reconciliation accuracy improvements.
Adaptive User Support
Resolve access and security issues for budget managers and business users.
Troubleshoot and fix formula, structure, and data issues within Adaptive Planning sheets.
Asset Management
Diagnose and correct depreciation calculation issues.
Reverse, correct, or reprocess incorrect asset disposals and adjustments.
FDM Governance
Review, validate, and approve Cost Center and Ledger Account requests.
Ensure correct financial mappings and alignment between Workday Financials and Adaptive Planning.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong hands-on experience with Workday Financials (R2R, Assets, Banking, Accounting).
Practical experience supporting Adaptive Planning budgeting and forecasting models.
Proven experience providing L2 production support in a Workday environment.
Solid understanding of financial close processes and reporting requirements.
Ability to troubleshoot integration, configuration, and data issues effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
Workday Financials and/or Adaptive Planning certification.
Experience in Managed Services or AMS support models.
Exposure to multi-entity, multi-currency financial environments.
