Visuals Assistant
Architectural Digest is seeking an extremely organized Visuals Assistant to support the Visuals and editorial department, a self-starter to contact sources, arrange agreements, billing, and shoot details, and coordinate the creation and production of bold, beautiful, visual content. The ideal candidate is able to manage a large volume of photo requests daily and can work within tight deadline constraints on multiple projects. This is a Guild position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain and coordinate the Visuals department budget, working with accounting and operations teams.
Process and track all department billing, invoices, agreements, and related work as needed.
Work closely with editorial and visuals teams on image sourcing, to optimize and track photos as needed for digital, print, and social use and production.
Clear image rights, including art credits, for all images published.
EXPERIENCE
Some related experience in a fast-paced visual environment
Extremely organized
Ability to prioritize, work well under pressure, and adhere to tight deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Analytical problem-solving skills and precise attention to detail
A proactive approach to managing multiple competing priorities effectively
Talent for suggesting creative, artful solutions for stock imagery; and creating simple GIFs, collages, and other photo-driven art assets.
Technical understanding of file formats and optimization
Enthusiasm for lifestyle content, with an eye for design, is a plus
The expected base salary range for this position is from $63,000 - $67,500. . Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.
