Essential Functions:
Performs assigned premium rating algorithm and data analysis, including building and maintaining requirements and related documentation. Partners with senior team members to support more complex assignments.
Collaborates with developers and quality assurance to ensure rating logic and functionality meet project objectives.
Engages in quality control checks and peer reviews; recommend process improvements.
Prepares and validates data for analysis; maintains data integrity and organizes rating elements.
Calculates and reports policy impact measurements to support decision-making.
Researches rating-related questions. Builds and tests sample policies and rating scenarios to validate logic.
Communicates findings and project updates clearly to stakeholders and team members.
Completes required training and certifications. Engages in self-directed and collaborative learning of line of business coverages and rating, including asking questions to learn context and understanding. Develops skills and knowledge of insurance operations.
Collaborates and supports actuarial ratemaking work-products including rate impact analysis and rate filings.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in math, statistics, or actuarial science
One year of actuarial or business analysis experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong analytical, investigation and problem-solving abilities
Working knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, and financial mathematics
Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI)
Exposure to product management tools
Knowledge of at least one programming language, such as SQL or Python preferred
The hiring salary range for this position will vary based on geographic location, falling within either of the following:
$59,463 - $81,943 or $65,568 - $90,343A hiring range represents a subset of the full salary range. The actual salary will depend on several factors, including relevant education, skills, and experience of an applicant, geographic location, and business needs.
