As the Actuarial Insights Consultant you will lead initiatives that monitor the performance of our portfolios and deliver actionable insights that contribute to the health of our portfolios. You will use advanced analytical and actuarial models to scrutinize results, proactively identify trends, and forecast the impact on our organization.  


How you will create impact: 
  • Developing monitoring for our portfolios, analyzing results, identifying trends and delivering actionable insights. 
  • Collaborating with business partners to support profitability analysis, communicating key insights and findings, and influencing them to take action on the findings. 
  • Actively seeking emerging techniques and methodologies and developing innovative solutions to complex problems through the analysis and application of new concepts. 
  • Leveraging predictive and prescriptive analytics to understand and forecast the impact of initiatives and identify profitability concerns. 
  • Leading and executing medium to large sized projects by defining a project plan, coaching team members on technical and modeling topics, and promoting team involvement and increasing efficiency as a team.

To join our team: 
  • You have completed a post-secondary degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science or related discipline. 
  • You have 4 years of experience in the Property and Casualty field.  
  • You have advanced knowledge of modeling processes, modelling softwares and advanced actuarial concepts.  
  • Having or working towards the ACAS or FCAS designations is an asset.  
  • This position primarily works with majority non-francophone groups, and teams located outside of Québec, and requires proficiency in English. The essential non-French duties are not assignable to adjacent or other team members.

Expected salary range $83,774 - $133,700+.

The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.

Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics.
