We are seeking a talented individual to join our team at Guy Carpenter. This role will be based in New York, NY. The is a hybrid role that requires at least three days a week in the office.

This role supports reinsurance actuarial services by working with brokers, performing risk analyses, guiding junior team members, and maintaining key client and market relationships.

We will count on you to:

  • Communicates directly with brokers regarding client needs and advises on reinsurance programs based on risk tolerance and industry trends.

  • Performs calculations using specialty models and client data to assess risk exposures and project outcomes.

  • Reviews client data for reasonableness, loads data into predictive models, runs analyses, and shares results with brokers to support the reinsurance transaction process.

  • Directs junior team members in analyzing industry and regulatory developments that may affect loss liabilities and client outcomes.

  • Independently builds more complex MetaRisk analyses and uses the model to explain assumptions and results.

  • Establishes and maintains relationships with brokers, reinsurers, and clients to support new business development in reinsurance actuarial services.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Data Science, Economics, Accounting, Physics, or a related field.

  • Curious, proactive, and growth-oriented mindset with the ability to lead internal initiatives and research projects to completion.

  • Superior communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, understandable terms for brokers and clients.

  • Collaborative, team-oriented, and proficient in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office products.

Marsh is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $68,800 to $113,600.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
