As part of your role, you will have the opportunity to engage with underwriting and claims teams, as well as other support functions such as products, software development, and finance.

What you’ll be doing
- Carry out quantitative analysis using both probabilistic and deterministic approaches, helping to break down complex problems and suggest practical solutions
- Support the development and ongoing improvement of pricing tools, helping to ensure they remain accurate, relevant and fit for purpose
- Work with stakeholders across the business to understand data requirements and translate these into clear, usable outputs
- Produce regular and ad hoc reporting, with clear commentary that explains what the numbers are telling us and why it matters
- Contribute to wider team activity, supporting projects and analysis alongside other members of the Performance Management team
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- A degree in a numerate subject such as Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistic
- Currently studying towards actuarial exams, ideally with 1–3 exams passed or relevant exemptions
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work with data and draw clear conclusion
- Comfortable using Excel or similar tools to handle and interpret data
- Good attention to detail, with a structured and methodical approach
- Clear communicator, able to explain findings in a straightforward and practical way
- Curious and motivated, with an interest in how actuarial work supports business performance
We’ll support you through the actuarial qualification process with study support, exam leave and access to experienced mentors across the team. You’ll have the opportunity to build both your technical capability and your understanding of how actuarial work feeds into commercial decision-making.
