Job Summary
Performs actuarial tasks including collecting and categorizing data, maintaining reports. Assists actuaries in preparation of reports, statements, and actuarial calculations and analysis. Receives assignment instruction from managing or senior actuaries and/or utilizes experience to perform actuarial tasks with moderate supervision from higher level actuaries. Develops a detailed understanding of Thrivent systems and processes. Participates in actuarial student program.
Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop and /or maintain computer models, using a variety of corporate software tools.
- Research, develop, document and seek approval for appropriate assumptions and methods to use in models.
- Perform analysis, testing and evaluation of produced outcomes under appropriate actuarial supervision.
- Perform regular procedures (such as preparing scheduled reports) and also contribute to a variety of diversified and challenging projects.
- Continue progression through Society of Actuaries exams and apply actuarial principles learned in exams.

Job Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Two to three ASA (Associate of the Society of Actuaries) written exams.

- This position allows a flexible work arrangement meaning you may work on-site and/or remotely from the Minneapolis, MN area.
