The Role

Seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to join our Corporate Actuarial and Analytics team. Will support key actuarial functions including analysis of claims reserves, financial forecasting, and providing analytical insights for senior leaders.

This Actuarial Analyst position will report to the Manager Actuarial services and interacts with various Blue Cross of Idaho departments.

We're looking for an Actuarial Analyst with:

Actuarial Analyst I:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree; or equivalent work experience (Two years’ relevant work experience is equivalent to one-year college)

Licenses/Certifications: Must be pursuing designation of ASA in the Society of Actuaries with a minimum completion of one exam.

What your day would look like:
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of actuarial reserves for various lines of business.
  • Support the development and maintenance of forecasting models to project future claims and premiums.
  • Collaborate with finance, underwriting, and claims teams to gather data and validate assumptions.
  • Prepare exhibits and reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in the enhancement of actuarial tools and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively (both verbally and in writing) and actively listens
  • Eagerness to learn, grow, and provide feedback

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay range is $64,893 to $90,850. The position is eligible for an annual incentive bonus (variable depending on company and employee performance.

The pay range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, internal equity, geography, business or organizational needs, and alignment with market data. At Blue Cross of Idaho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for the position. Compensation decisions are dependent on factors and circumstances at the time of offer.
