Seeking an ACT Employment Specialist to join our interdisciplinary ACT clinical team working with individuals diagnosed with a Serious Mental Illness (SMI) or General Mental Health diagnosis under Court Ordered Treatment at our Priest Recovery Health Center in Tempe, AZ.

Full-Time Employed: 40 hours/week

Location: 1642 S Priest Dr Bldg 6 suite 101, Tempe, AZ 85281

Additional Language Differential Pay Available

Schedule: Tues - Sat; 10am - 7pm

Must have very flexible schedule as this team provides treatment 7 days/week, including weekends and holidays

$3/hour ACT Differential

The ACT Employment Specialist engages members and provides direct treatment, rehabilitative and supportive services in a community setting. Conducts vocational assessment, provides direct job development and placement services in addition to benefits counseling and employment coaching support services to assist to obtain and maintain community-based employment. Works as a team member of a clinical team to assess member needs and wants, participates in the development of individual service plans, acts as a patient advocate and liaisons with families and community agencies. Provides on-call crisis intervention services, as well as weekend and holiday coverage.

The ACT Employment Specialist duties include:

• Facilitates educational and supportive activities including orientation into the work environments, the effect of work and meaningful community activities on benefits programs, job seeking skills, benefits counseling, job clubs, and employment support groups.

• Works as a team member of a clinical team to assess member needs and wants, participates in the development of individual service plans, acts as a client advocate and liaisons with families and community agencies.

• Serves as the team’s specialist for employment services by collaborating with other team members in the assessing for and delivery of employment skills training as specified in the individual service plan.

• Provides on-call crisis intervention services, as well as weekend and holiday coverage.

• Education/Experience:
  • GED/High school diploma with a minimum of 3 years of behavioral health experience, or
  • An associates degree in the field of behavioral, or
  • A bachelor's degree (not in the field of behavioral health) and 1 year of behavioral health experience, or
  • A bachelor's degree in the field of behavioral health, or
  • A master's degree or higher in the field of behavioral health.
• Peer Support Certification (Required) 
• Three years working as a Peer Support Specialist preferred. 
• Behavioral Health recipient in recovery for at least 1 – 3 years and/or first-hand experience with family members with serious mental illness and/or chronic disease
• Must have valid Arizona driver’s license, be 21 years of age with minimum 4 years driving experience and meet requirements of Terros Health’s driving policy.
• Must have a valid, unrestricted Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card or apply for one within 7 working days of employment.
• Must understand and utilize a recovery approach and philosophy.
• Exemplify great customer service and motivational skills.
• Good communication skills, evidenced by a non-judgmental approach, effective listening and positive interactions.
• Must be able to work on a computer and tablet in Microsoft Office, with electronic medical records and in NextGen.
• Provide services in a clinical setting and in the community, as well as weekend and holiday coverage.
• Must pass a typing assessment with a speed of at least 25 wpm.
