Your Opportunity:
Acrylic Design Associates is looking for an Acrylic Fabricator Machinist to join the team in Plymouth, MN.
Work Authorization: To be considered for Taylor opportunities, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
Your Shift: 1st Shift; Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm
Your Responsibilities:
Fabrication & Assembly
Cut, shape, and assemble acrylic materials using hand tools and power tools.
May operate saws, routers, heat benders, polishers, and adhesives to fabricate custom acrylic pieces.
Ensure proper bonding and finishing techniques for a seamless and professional appearance.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to execute precise builds.
Quality Control & Finishing
Inspect fabricated products for accuracy, structural integrity, and visual quality.
Sand, flame polish, and buff acrylic surfaces for a smooth and clear finish.
Perform minor repairs and adjustments to ensure all products meet company standards.
Production Efficiency & Safety
Follow production schedules and deadlines to ensure timely project completion.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all workplace safety guidelines.
Properly handle and store materials to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
Work collaboratively with team members to solve fabrication challenges and improve processes.
Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Perform routine maintenance on fabrication tools and machines.
Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to management.
Assist with troubleshooting issues that arise during the fabrication process.
You Must Have:
2 years of experience in acrylic fabrication, woodworking, plastic manufacturing, or a related field.
The ability to read, write, and communicate effectively so others can understand you
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment (e.g., table saws, routers, polishers).
Ability to read technical drawings and work from specifications.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials safely (~40 pounds).
Ability to stand on your feet for the entirety of your shift.
We Would Also Prefer:
Experience with CNC machinery and laser cutting.
Knowledge of adhesives, solvent welding, and bonding techniques for acrylics.
Background in working with other materials like wood, metal, or composites.
Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and process improvement.
The anticipated hourly pay rate for this position is $19.00 - 22.00 per hour. The actual hourly pay rate offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation’s total compensation and benefits package for employee.
