Amyx is seeking to hire an Acquisition Specialist located in Falls Church, VA.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities and Skills:

  • Knowledge of contracting principles, laws regulation and procedures.
  • Knowledge of methods and techniques of fact-finding, analysis, and resolution of complex problems, and the ability to develop concrete action plans to solve problems.
  • Familiarity with price and cost analysis principles.
  • Written communication skills refined sufficiently to: summarize events and technical discussions; prepare recommendations and alternatives document, strategies and outcomes, and correspondence of a persuasive and/or directive nature.
  • Verbal communication skills must be developed to the degree that can articulate contractual issues and provide guidance to non-contracting customers regarding provisions, practices, procedures, and problem resolution.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office programs and data management systems
  • Must have the ability to communicate accurate information

Qualifications

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience in one of the following: project/program management; logistics; acquisition; requirements generation; life cycle management; acquisition support; purchasing and procurement of DoD supplies and services.
  • The experience may reduced to 4 years if the candidate has a Bachelor's Degree.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • Knowledge of Federal and DOD acquisition procedures.
