Position Overview

Chartis Federal is seeking an Acquisition Policy Analyst to provide acquisition lifecycle support to the Customer's Strategic Planning Office (SPO). The Acquisition Policy Analyst will support the planning, coordination, routing, tracking, and administration of acquisition activities associated with research and development (R&D) programs and initiatives. This position will work closely with Government personnel, program teams, contracting offices, and legal stakeholders to facilitate acquisition workflows and ensure documentation is processed accurately and efficiently.

This position is contingent upon award.  

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the administrative lifecycle of acquisition activities associated with research and development programs and initiatives.
  • Coordinate acquisition documentation, package preparation, routing, and tracking activities.
  • Support the development, processing, and management of acquisition actions, including Broad Agency Announcements (BAAs), Program Solicitations, Special Notices, and Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Track acquisition schedules, milestones, and documentation to support timely execution of acquisition activities.
  • Coordinate acquisition communications among Government stakeholders, program personnel, contracting offices, and legal representatives.
  • Assist with the preparation, review, and maintenance of acquisition-related documentation and supporting materials.
  • Maintain acquisition templates, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and supporting repositories.
  • Support acquisition workflow management and document control activities.
  • Analyze acquisition processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Prepare reports, status updates, and briefing materials related to acquisition activities.
  • Maintain organized records and documentation supporting acquisition actions and program activities.
  • Ensure assigned products and deliverables are completed within established deadlines. 

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Acquisition Management, Contract Management, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience supporting federal acquisition, contracting, procurement, grants, or program management activities.
  • Experience supporting acquisition documentation, workflow management, or contract administration activities.
  • Familiarity with federal acquisition processes and lifecycle management.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Department of Defense organizations.
  • Experience supporting research and development (R&D) programs.
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) principles and acquisition documentation processes.
  • Experience coordinating with contracting offices, legal counsel, or acquisition stakeholders.
  • Experience developing or maintaining acquisition-related templates, procedures, or workflow documentation.
