Job Description

insightsoftware is seeking an Acquisition Integration Project Manager to support the integration efforts of our future acquisitions, including due diligence, value creation strategic plans, and core functional integration. We’re looking for an experienced individual who excels in partnering and influencing in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the Acquisition Integration Project Manager will work closely with senior executives, acquired company management, and internal cross-functional teams to lead strategic acquisition integrations, drive the development, implementation, and execution of integration plans, and overall improve our acquisition integration playbook. 

The primary objective is to ensure the integrity and success of the integration plan, achieving steady measurable progress toward defined goals; the efficient execution of project management practices; regular reporting; and monitoring and measurement of success metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall execution of the functional integration plan from Day 1 on-boarding to completion of all integration activities, including leading through influence with dedicated functional integration leads
  • Closely partner with the Chief of Staff, senior leaders, and functional workstream leaders to architect integration strategies
  • Serve as a strategic Business Partner to the acquisition integration executive sponsor by driving timely and objective decision-making with sound advice and good judgment
  • Support and provide input to workstream leads to develop tailored integration plans for acquisitions resource needs, budgets, and RAIDD items
  • Provide support to the Corporate Development Acquisition team prior to close (due diligence, project management, etc.)
  • Serve as an active participant in diligence of target company to facilitate the evaluation of key issues, assessing integration challenges, and development of post-close Value Creation plans
  • Document and communicate detailed integration planning with milestones, timelines, resources, and costs required to achieve deal specific value and synergies
  • Develop and maintain momentum and urgency across all functional participants required to execute on workplan and maintain alignment with the deal rationale
  • Work with leadership from the acquired business, including ELT and Founders to communicate the integration plan, and obtain feedback on priorities, challenges or concerns from acquired business to update integration plans
  • Facilitate weekly project team meetings to provide status on progress and milestone achievement
  • Own integration governance, project management, and progress reports for Integration team
  • Facilitate functional business leaders’ decision making with data awareness, effective meetings, and break down cross-functional communication silos
  • Present regular integration updates to the Chief of Staff to support clear communication and/or reporting to Steering Committee(s), senior leadership, and Executive Leadership Team (C-Suite)
  • Foster consistent and clear communication cross-functionally and vertically within the org to ensure awareness of critical issues/risks and drive them to resolution with constant and consistent objectivity
  • Collect lessons learned and ideas for continuous improvement as the project progresses

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 1-3 years of project management, acquisition integration, or related experience required
  • Acquisition due diligence and Integration project management experience preferred
  • Knowledge of and experience in leading complex, cross-functional programs in technology companies
  • Exceptional project management skills with demonstrated capability in complex environments
  • Ability to maintain multiple projects at one time with varying or overlapping deadlines
  • Proven ability to facilitate cross-functional meetings and work across multiple teams
  • Proven expertise in creating accurate and regular reporting and documentation
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills interacting with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to execute against project plan, managing to deadlines, and working collaboratively on a global cross functional level
  • Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones while driving accountability for shared results
  • Experience with a rapidly scaling technology/software business
  • Ability to travel as needed for integration projects
