Job Description
IDS is seeking an Acoustic Engineer (AE) to support secure construction operations in Misawa, Japan. The AE will conduct acoustic testing, identify deficiencies, verify compliance with ICD 705 standards, and support corrective efforts to ensure secure acoustic performance.
Key Duties
• Conduct acoustic testing in accordance with ICD 705.
• Work with construction teams to ensure compliance with acoustic and vibration control requirements.
• Identify discrepancies in sound attenuation and report findings to the SSM.
• Perform retesting until all identified issues are resolved.
• Support secure construction objectives related to sound transmission and acoustic security.
Requirements
• Active U.S. Top Secret clearance.
• One or more of the following certifications:
– CNCE
– CCENM
– CIH
– CVA
– CPA
• Demonstrated experience on multiple ICD 705 secure construction projects.
• Expert understanding of ICD/ICS 705 acoustic standards.
• Ability to operate effectively in Misawa, Japan.

Skills Required
