Summary:

In this role, you will evaluate organizational compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC) standards and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) conditions of participation, with an emphasis on physical plant, life safety and emergency management.

Responsibilities:

  • Document accreditation/regulatory compliance deficiencies and strategies for compliance.

  • Provide educational presentations on accreditation topics to various member venues.

  • Participate in internal quality assurance reviews, performance improvement tracking, trending, analysis and action planning.

  • Provide strategic planning and recommendations related to post accreditation survey activities that involve clarifications, corrective action plans and submission of evidence of standards compliance.  .

  • Function as a customer service liaison with our members and peers.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred.  A degree in a facilities management field or healthcare administration desired.

  • 7 or more years work experience as a facilities management professional required.

  • 3 or more years’ experience successfully leading health system/hospital facility accreditation activities required.

  • Proficient knowledge on the standards of The Joint Commission (TJC) and the CMS Conditions of Participation desired.

  • Experience working with an accreditation organization or as a CMS surveyor preferred.

  • Experience working with the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP) desired.

  • Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager or Certified Healthcare Safety Professional desired.

  • Experience providing staff education and public speaking preferred.

  • Ability to travel regularly and expeditiously throughout the year to meet clients’ needs and timetables.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $102,400.00 to $179,000.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
