Job Description:
Job Summary: The Accounts Receivable Clerk will be responsible for maintaining customer files, the processing of daily invoices, compiling credit applications, daily check processing, as well as support the accounts receivable team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process daily invoices to ensure timely recording of Company sales. This includes the processing of invoices, miscellaneous invoices, and returns of merchandise for credit.
- Compile credit applications and help process customer credit limits in our system.
- Maintain and monitor credit application log to ensure timely credit decisions.
- Maintain customer files periodically to ensure compliance with Company policy and internal control environment.
- Process and apply incoming payments to the proper customer account to ensure real time accuracy of customer balances.
- Provide customers their statement on a monthly basis or as needed.
- Support the accounts receivable team with ad hoc projects, reports and analysis.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as accounting, in a support function.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable.
Skills and Abilities:
- Good time management skills and ability to multi-task.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact with departments throughout the organization.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Officer (Excel & Word).
- Must be comfortable working alone as well as under the assistance of a supervisor.
- Knowledge Pentagon and Quantum ERP systems preferred.
- Knowledge of Concur expense reporting tool preferred.
