Our Accounting Team is growing, and we are looking for a motivated individual to join us as an Accounts Receivable Specialist.  This position is responsible for entering orders, invoices, customer collections, maintaining ledgers, and resolving account irregularities.  The Accounts Receivable Specialist will also ensure the timely and accurate processing of cash receipts and any other accounting transactions related to this role. 

Responsibilities

● Reviewing new customer purchase orders and sales quotes to create new sales orders

● Receive and process Return Merchandise Authorizatrions (RMA’s)

● Bill customers based on proper shipping terms

 ● Process any cash receipts including, checks, EFTs, or credit cards

 ● Coordinate with vendors to collect on outstanding payments

 ● Communicate with customers on any accounts receivable inquiries

● Issue ad hoc, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for sales, collections, and aging

● Maintain tax exemption document library

● Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or misapplied cash transactions

● Post accounts receivable data to profit/loss reports, balance sheets and income statements

● Review all credit balances, and refunds and apply adjustments to corporate billing records

● Adhere to all environmental policies and programs as required

● Other duties as assigned

Requirements

● High School Diploma or associate's degree.  5+ years related work experience required, experience in life sciences a plus

● Proficiency with Acumatica or related ERP (preferably Microsoft Dynamics) a plus

● Must be computer literate. Preferred candidate will have previous experience with accounting software, Microsoft Word and Excel

● Ability to recognize, research and resolve discrepancies in financial data

● Knowledge of milestone billing, INCO terms, and Sales & Use tax is a plus

● Experience with supplier portals (i.e Ariba and Coupa) is a plus

● Must possess excellent customer service skills

● Strong verbal and written communication skills

● Detail-oriented and works with a high degree of accuracy

● Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

● Must be extremely responsible with integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion

The compensation for this position ranges from $28.00 to $32.00 per hour, commensurate with skills and experience.
