We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our accounting group. Reporting to our Controller, this person will manage and implement customer payment activities, including receiving/ processing customer payments and electronic remittance advice, performing cash handling activities, and applying payments to customer accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining AR ledger and reconciling cash collections in bank to open invoices.
  • Prepare invoices and coordinate review process and distribution to clients
  • Compile and process invoices to clients by defined schedules for multi entities.
  • Prepare and maintain AR aging and collection reports ensuring customers are paying on time and in full.
  • Assist client service teams in collection efforts for accounts that become delinquent.
  • Import invoices into accounting general ledger and classify invoices into appropriate revenue accounts.
  • Credit Card and ACH payment processing.
  • Foster good relationships with external clients and internal account leads.
  • Timely response on inquiries from account leads or billings disputes.
  • Ad hoc billing analysis and special AR reports.

 Education/ Licenses:

  • Associate degree in related field is highly preferred.

OR

  • High School Diploma with significant level of experience in billing or accounts receivable.

Qualifications:

  • 2 or more years of experience related to accounts receivable, billing, processing invoices.
  • Experience in collections and cash applications.
  • Experience in A/R account reconciliations.
  • Other office experience such as client or vendor communication, accounting, project coordination, customer service, analysis are all assets to this role.

Technology:

  • Expertise in Microsoft Office is required.
  • Intermediate or advanced skills in Excel such as pivot tables or formulas is desirable.
  • Technology friendly, eager to learn new systems.
