We have an opportunity for a motivated individual to fill the role of Accounts Receivable Specialist. In this position, the successful candidate will be responsible for accelerating cash flow by ensuring timely payments for a large customer base.
Why This Role Is Important:
The Accounts Receivable Specialist plays a key role in maintaining strong customer relationships, addressing discrepancies, and mitigating financial risks by monitoring accounts and recommending actions for delinquent payments.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain customer’s accounts: record payments, apply credit memos, research any discrepancies as necessary.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging to identify and reach out to delinquent accounts monthly and negotiate payment arrangements if necessary.
- Recommend delinquent accounts for Credit Hold/Breach/Collections based on department policies.
- Support new customers by connecting with them to assist with their AP needs and/or connecting them to appropriate department for other inquiries (W-9, banking information, access to invoices on Customer Portal, billing questions etc.).
- Communicating with other Budderfly employees to resolve customer inquiries or concerns.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Accounts Receivable required.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills.
- Ability to take initiative, work independently and prioritize duties
- Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word)
- Experience with Oracle NetSuite a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with all departments.
Location: Shelton, CT/Hybrid Work Schedule
Compensation
$27—$30 USD
Compensation is based on factors including level of experience, skillset, qualifications, and location.
