Job Description:

Under the direction of the Revenue Verification Manager, incumbent assists in the daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reconciliation and reporting of Hotel/F&B/Outlet Accounts Receivable.  Provides management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts; preparing journal entries and various accounting related tasks as assigned.  Applies principles of accounting under the guidelines of the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and in compliance with STOF regulations in all procedures.

**This is an entry level position, ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required. Duties include, but not limited to:

Essential Job Functions:

Exhibits conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida departmental policies and procedures.
 

  • Research and respond to all Hotel/Food & Beverage related Chargeback transactions, payment discrepancies, and external and internal queries in a timely manner.  To include hard copy document/receipt retrieval.
  • Navigate various customer portals to obtain back up documents and submit claims.
  • Communicate with various company departments such us customer service, operations, and sales to review issues for escalation, recommendations, and resolution
  • Maintain and update Chargeback log for weekly review by Management.
  • Provide support to Accounts Receivable and Revenue Verification as required.
  • Monthly close duties to include but not limited to production of all needed accounts receivable related reporting and research as needed by management.
  • Prioritize job functions in order to meet deadlines.
  • Show initiative and problem solving for daily challenges.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
  • Assist the Revenue Verification Manager in developing and implementing new audit processes and procedures, as operational changes occur.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Provide additional support to the department as requested, with the expected ability and desire to gain progressive knowledge of on-property operations, as well as other accounting departments within Revenue Verification.
  • Works with the uniform chart of accounts using the guidelines of the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Maintain knowledge of the STOF Gaming regulations as well as Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations.
  • Demonstrate actions and behaviors that reinforce the Company’s Mission and Values of Communication, Integrity, Fun, Respect, Accountability, Passion and Dedication.
  • Ensure prompt and discreet notification to management and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:  

High school diploma/GED and one (1) year experience in an Accounts Receivable role required or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Hotel/Convention accounting experience strongly preferred. Must be proficient in Excel.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental and organizational regulations.  Ability to write and develop reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to present information effectively, and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.  Ability to apply certain concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
