The Role

This position is hybrid, meaning being in our Grand Rapids office 3 days a week.

We’re hiring an Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager who is ready to take our AR team and processes to the next level. This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll drive innovation, build meaningful cross-functional partnerships, and create clarity and accountability in a critical business function.  


What You’ll Do: 

 Lead with Accountability & Clarity 

  • Set clear goals for the AR team and hold yourself and others accountable for results
  • Guide the team through ambiguity and change while maintaining high morale and strong performance
  • Deliver on monthly and annual AR goals with confidence and integrity 

 

Develop People & Build Culture 

  • Recognize the unique strengths and needs of each team member to foster individual growth and engagement
  • Proactively identify and address barriers to positivity, productivity, and team cohesion
  • Build a strong, inclusive team culture rooted in trust, accountability, and mutual respect 

 

Drive Innovation & Process Improvement 

  • Identify and implement upstream solutions that support long-term AR success
  • Create and streamline processes that keep the team focused, organized, and aligned with business goals
  • Influence change that improves efficiency, communication, and performance across departments 

 

Collaborate Cross-Functionally 

  • Partner regularly with Sales and Customer Success to understand their goals and customer needs
  • Connect the dots between AR performance and broader business outcomes—and help the team do the same
  • Ensure customers receive an excellent invoicing experience that supports our brand promise 

 

1-Year Success Snapshot 

By the end of your first year, you will have: 

  • Met or exceeded key AR performance goals
  • Established and implemented processes that improve billing efficiency and reduce receivables risk
  • Built strong, collaborative relationships across Finance, Sales, and Customer Success
  • Identified key upstream issues affecting AR and created action plans to address them
  • Elevated team engagement and individual development through thoughtful leadership 

 

What You Bring: 

  • 2+ years of experience in a leadership role (finance, AR, or customer service preferred)
  • Proven ability to adapt quickly, think innovatively, and lead through change
  • Strong communication and coaching skills to effectively manage a variety of personalities
  • A deep understanding of how receivables impact business health – and the ability to make that clear to others
