Accounts Receivable Manager

Job Description Summary

Dedicated to one client’s portfolio this position’s responsibilities include all areas of monthly billing and collection. Accurate application of cash receipts as well as ensuring tenants accounts are in good standing. Primary responsibilities will also include heavy collection phone calls and following up on delinquent tenants with attorneys. The candidate must be able to work independently to meet strict deadlines and will oversee AR staff. Must be able to work efficiently with multiple property managers and leasing personnel.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Oversees the preparation of monthly billing statements.

  • Assist in commercial tenants billing and collection process.

  • Monitor the entry of information and data and verifies invoice accuracy.

  • Preparation and review of monthly Aged Account Receivable Report.

  • Communicate with attorneys to begin legal actions for delinquent tenants, review progress of exiting cases.

  • Attend client/attorneys legal meetings.

  • Attend client’s monthly meetings to discuss Aged Receivable and other issues.

  • Assist tenants with inquires.

  • Performs analysis of prepaid account.

  • Work with Property Accountants and other team members on preparation of monthly financial statements.

  • Assists in external/internal annual audits and fiscal year-end close.

  • Ensures maintenance and updating of applicable ledgers and other computer files.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business related

  • Four or more years accounting experience

  • Yardi software experience is a must.

  •  Advanced Excel Knowledge a must

  • Ability to work undependably in the fast and demanding environment 

  • Excellent communication skills required

  • Excellent analytical, mathematical and organizational skills required.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.


The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.


The compensation for the position is: $105,820.71 - $124,494.95
