Job Description
Summary
The Accounts Receivable Billing Specialist III is responsible for managing and tracking customers' account data, issuing and delivering invoices on time, processing credit adjustments, maintaining and collecting revenue from customer accounts, and providing various data reports upon request.
Position Responsibilities
- Generates and processes invoices in a timely, efficient manner, utilizing our ERP system
- Posts customer payment receipts by recording cash, checks, credit card transactions and adjustments
- Monitors customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities
- Conducts collections calls on past due accounts
- Researches and resolves accounts receivable aging/collection issues in a timely manner, and escalates issues when necessary
- Processes credit memos, as needed
- Generates AR aging report for review and analysis
- Maintains accounts receivable customer files and records
- Communicates with customers via phone, email and mail. Investigate and resolves customer inquiries
- Assists Accounting department, as needed, with month-end closing
- Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations
- Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
- Minimum of 2 – 4 years' experience in Accounts Receivable and/or general accounting or equivalent combination of experience and education
- General knowledge of accounting principles
- Successfully operates a calculator, computer, and other general office equipment
- Speed and accuracy are critical components of the position, as is successfully multi-tasking
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including an intermediate level of proficiency in Excel
- Customer-service and detail oriented with high level of written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience)
- Preferred experience working in a company regulated by compliance and/or Sarbanes-Oxley controlled environment
- Demonstrates high level of analytical and problem-solving skills as well as strong work ethic, punctuality & attendance
- Has substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge & skills to complete wide range of tasks
- Normally receives little instruction on daily work, general instructions on newly introduced assignments
- Able to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, where small teams share a broad variety of duties
- Displays strong initiative and drive to accomplish goals and meet company objectives
- Takes ownership and responsibility for current and past work products
- Is committed to learning from mistakes and driven to improve and enhance performance of oneself, others, and the company
- Teamwork, collaboration and putting the success of the team above one's own interests is essential
Physical Demands
- Ability to work in an office environment (Constant)
- Required to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (Frequent)
The salary range for this role is:
$23 - $32

This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”).
