Job Description

  

Join Teledyne Controls and play a key role in supporting the financial health of a business that serves the aerospace industry. As an Accountant, you will help ensure the accuracy of financial records, manage accounts receivable activities, support cash flow forecasting, and contribute to financial reporting that enables informed business decisions. You'll work closely with finance leadership and cross-functional teams while gaining exposure to a broad range of accounting responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
What you'll do
  • Manage customer collections by following up on pending and past-due invoices and driving timely resolution.
  • Track collection activities, document outcomes, and provide regular status updates.
  • Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts and support cash management activities.
  • Analyze and report accounts receivable data on a semi-monthly basis.
  • Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts.
  • Compile financial data and support the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
  • Review accounting records to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies, errors, and inconsistencies.
  • Support tax reporting requirements and assist with federal, state, and local filings.
  • Assist with year-end audit preparation and provide backup support across accounting functions.
What you need
  • 2+ years of accounting experience in a corporate environment – required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field – required
  • Experience with accounts receivable, collections, and cash flow forecasting – required
  • Experience preparing journal entries and reconciling financial records – required
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills – required
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines – required
  • Knowledge of financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and GAAP – required
  • Experience supporting audits and tax reporting activities – preferred

Salary Range:

$62,800.00-$83,700.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
