DP World is looking for a hands-on Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead our AP team and keep things running smoothly day to day. You will make sure supplier invoices are processed accurately, payments are made on time, and everything is managed in line with policies and procedures.
This role suits someone who enjoys leading a team, building good relationships with suppliers and stakeholders, and finding ways to improve processes while delivering accurate results in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day Accounts Payable function, making sure invoices are processed accurately and on time
- Check and approve invoice coding and ensure everything is aligned as per the policies and approval limits
- Complete monthly reconciliations of supplier statements, AP balances, and the General Ledger
- Run weekly payment cycles, including EFTs and cheque payments where needed
- Follow up and resolve any invoice issues, overdue payments, or supplier queries quickly
- Keep supplier details up to date in the system
- Prepare journals, accruals, budgets, and support with AP reporting, cash flow forecasts, and quarterly PTRS reporting
- Support audits by providing information and following up on any AP-related findings
- Lead, support, and develop the AP team to help them perform at their best
- Help troubleshoot AP system issues (Oracle Fusion) and look for ways to improve processes
- Support the wider finance team by assisting with additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
- A qualification in Accounting or a related field (a degree in Accounting is preferred)
- Minimum of 10 years’ general accounting experience, including solid exposure to Accounts Payable
- Good understanding of AP processes and confidence working with finance and procurement systems
- Comfortable using Excel, banking platforms, and accounting systems
- A self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on getting things right the first time
- Well organised and able to manage deadlines without losing focus
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Friendly, team-focused approach with strong interpersonal skills
- A practical problem-solver who stays calm in a busy environment
