Heidtman Steel Products, Inc. is seeking an Accounts Payable/Receivable Coordinator to join our Team and be an integral member of the Company. This person will be responsible for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Account Reconciliations, General Ledger work, year-end audit work, and a wide variety of additional accounting-related projects. Solid judgment and adherence to best practices are essential to this position, as is advanced Excel proficiency. Essential Responsibilities: 

  • AP categorization and classification (including g/l account & department splits)
  • Obtain and attach all appropriate documentation and approvals
  • Customer Invoicing
  • Record Deposits
  • Assist in month end journal entries
  • Assist with various month end account reconciliations
  • Special research, data collection, data analysis and reporting projects, as requested by senior staff members
  • Cross-train in all departmental functions, including purchasing department.
  • Ensure all documents both physical and electronic are filed appropriately and maintained.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree in accounting not required, but preferred
  • Strong overall computer skills including Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Experience with Invera ERP system is a plus
