- We are looking for a detailed Accounts Payable Specialist to handle day-to-day invoice processing, OCR checks, payment preparation, and monthly reconciliations, while helping our team transition off a legacy system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process food invoices in MarketMan and non-food invoices in Traild.
- Review invoice email queues, fix OCR reading errors, and ask stores to resend bad or missing scans.
- Prepare weekly invoices for payment (final payment execution is done by the onshore team).
- Perform credit card reconciliations by following up on receipts, reconciling, and coding receipts to statements.
- Reconcile monthly supplier statements to ensure no missing invoices.
- Support the transition away from the old system (Atlas) to new AP processes.
- Work mainly with internal store teams. Vendor management is handled onshore.
Requirements
- Requirements:
- 3–5 years in Accounts Payable
- Australian AP experience preferred
- Basic understanding of Australian GST rules and BAS (non-negotiable).
- Able to catch OCR glitches, duplicate entries, and scanning errors.
- MYOB Acumatica experience is preferred (open to other accounting software). MarketMan or Traild experience is a plus.
Work Arrangement
- Work Setup: On-site
- Work Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm , should complete nine 9 hours work, inclusive of 1 hour lunch break
