The Role

Asana’s Procure to Pay team supports efficient and compliant global purchasing processes. As Accounts Payable Manager, you will be instrumental in driving transformation across payables and expenses, and overseeing operational teams. You’ll partner with stakeholders across Finance and Enterprise Technology, and be the face of Accounts Payable across Asana.

This role is based in our San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. Along with most Asanas, you’ll work from this office in person on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays and Fridays. If you're interviewing for this role, your Talent Acquisition Partner will share more about the in-office requirements. 

What you’ll achieve:

  • Lead an offshore team to oversee global Accounts Payable activities across invoice processing, approvals, payments, reporting and analytics, with a focus on efficiency and compliance with internal controls.
  • Support the Travel & Expense team with guidance on expense management operations.
  • Partner with stakeholders in Finance and Enterprise Technology on transformation and automation initiatives to deliver ongoing compliance and efficiencies across Accounts Payable and Travel & Expense processes and systems.
  • Troubleshoot with internal customers and external suppliers regarding invoicing and payment questions.
  • Be an advocate for Accounts Payable across Asana through outreach to stakeholders on policies, processes and best practices.
  • Prepare and distribute communications on processes, changes and results.

About you:

  • At least ten years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable.
  • Experience in supporting Travel & Expense operations.
  • Experience in delivering transformation and automation initiatives.
  • Experience with enterprise level Procure to Pay systems (Coupa and NetSuite experience preferred).
  • Experience in working with and supervising work assignments for managed services providers.
  • Detailed, task-oriented approach to delivery.
  • Collaborative approach to problem solving.
  • Comfortable working in an ambiguous fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical approach to decision making and problem solving, with the ability to synthesize data and communicate recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
  • Demonstrated curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and leverage them to enhance productivity, collaboration, or decision-making.

To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit. 

For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $164,000-186,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.

In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits.
