The Role

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager who will be responsible for leading the AP team and function, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will possess leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. As the AP Manager you will be responsible for overseeing vendor payments, resolving discrepancies and making adjustments, administering internal controls, and managing the Accounts Payable team.

What You'll be Doing

  • Manage and oversee the accounts payable team, providing leadership, guidance, and support.
  • Develop and implement accounts payable policies and procedures to ensure accurate and efficient processing of invoices and payments.
  • Review and approve invoices for payment, ensuring proper coding, authorization, and documentation.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain vendor relationships, including communicating payment terms and resolving vendor inquiries.
  • Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports and metrics to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate recording and reporting of accounts payable transactions.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to streamline accounts payable processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and trends in accounts payable management.
  • Manage preparation and processing of payment files, including wire transfers and check runs.
  • Ensure approval of all payment requests in accordance with company policies.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and transactions and adjust tax setups on purchase orders.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate card statements and timely expense receipt submissions.
  • Provide support for complex invoice processing, data entry, and employee reimbursements.
  • Assist with monthly bank account reconciliations.
  • Other duties as needed.


About You

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • 7 years of experience in accounts payable, with 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Experience with Netsuite and Airbase as well as advanced MS Excel skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
