Job Description:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned):

• Review vendor invoices and credits for accuracy before submitting for data entry . Manage recurring invoices for routine payments to select vendors.
• Communicate with La-Z-Boy business users and suppliers to address invoice and payment issues.
• Respond to requests for vendor credit references. Process weekly payments (check, ACH, credit card, and wire transfers) and reconcile payments at the end of day.
• Initiate and approve wire transfers and maintain vendor templates within the company banking system
• Review the outstanding issue logs daily and resolve invoice issues timely.
• Reconcile monthly vendor statements and communicate with suppliers to correct discrepancies
• Record Concur expense reports in E1 general ledger by import
• Prepare month end accruals for the accounting department, and close open receipts
• Create and update department procedures
• Participate or lead projects to increase efficiency in Accounts Payable.

SCOPE & IMPACT: 

This position processes approximately 12,000 payments to vendors per month for the La-Z-Boy Inc, US Manufacturing, US Distribution, US and Canada Retail locations, Joybird and Casegoods divisions. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 1-2 years of related experience
• Efficient and accurate data entry skills to process high volumes of invoices and payments.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
• Excellent organization and planning skills.
• Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with peers, La-Z-Boy Business users, and external suppliers.
• Must be flexible, able to adapt to changing circumstances
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and work well under pressure, multi-task with little supervision
• High degree of problem-solving skills and a self-starter
• Fully proficient with processing high volume payments

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: 

• Associate’s degree in accounting
• Oracle E1
• Concur expense reporting

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None

Weekly Hours:
