The Accounts Officer will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting and finance operations of the business, ensuring accurate financial record keeping, timely statutory compliance, and efficient administration of financial transactions. The role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong accounting fundamentals and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced logistics environment.
Responsibilities:
- Record and process purchase transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Manage petty cash and imprest accounts.
- Collect, verify, and capture financial data into the accounting system.
- Prepare, review, and post vouchers and invoices into Tally ERP.
- Prepare and submit statutory returns and remittances including PAYE, SDL, WHT, VAT, - NSSF, WCF and NHIF.
- Liaise with statutory authorities, banks, auditors and other stakeholders.
- Maintain filing and archive management systems.
- Support reconciliations and month-end activities.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- CPA (T) qualification or progress towards CPA is an advantage.
- Minimum 2–4 years of accounting experience.
- Knowledge of Tanzanian tax regulations and statutory compliance requirements.

- Proficiency in Tally ERP.
- Strong bookkeeping and accounting knowledge.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Skills Required
