ABOUT THE POSITION
This is a hybrid role supporting both the Ireland studio and Group Finance functions, offering broad exposure to statutory accounting and Group-level finance operations in an international environment.
Responsibilities- Assist with journal entries and account reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances where necessary.
- Support the preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, and internal reports, including month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoices recording, payments, staff claims and bank postings.
- Maintain accounting records, including fixed asset registers, depreciation schedules, and project cost tracking.
- Support intercompany transactions, including invoicing, settlements, and reconciliations across entities.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis.
- Respond to internal and external queries, providing accurate supporting information where required.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and relevant financial regulations (knowledge of FRS 102/IFRS is an advantage).
- Support continuous improvement of finance processes and assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and other finance-related tasks as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Progress towards a professional qualification (eg. ACA, ACCA, or CIMA is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in accounting systems (experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus) and strong Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- High attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Work Environment and Reporting
- Reports to the Finance Manager (Ireland).
- Works closely with the wider finance team and cross-functional stakeholders to support efficient and effective financial operations.
