The Accounts Executive – Entity Finance will support the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of approximately 3–5 assigned legal entities, including entities operating in Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
The role will support the maintenance of accurate accounting records, timely month-end closing, financial reporting, reconciliations, tax and statutory compliance activities, and payroll-related finance activities.
The role will work closely with the Finance Manager / Financial Controller, Global Revenue Controller, Global Cost Controller and People Operations to ensure entity-level financial information is accurate, complete and submitted in accordance with Group requirements.
Entity Accounting & Financial Closing
- Support day-to-day accounting activities for assigned entities, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, accruals, prepayments, provisions and account reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities and ensure supporting schedules and documentation are complete and accurate.
- Assist in identifying and resolving accounting discrepancies and outstanding items.
- Prepare entity-level financial schedules and reports, including profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow and working capital information.
- Assist with the preparation of financial information required for Group reporting and consolidation.
- Support the Finance Manager / Financial Controller in reviewing financial information and reporting requirements.
- Support the Global Revenue Controller and Global Cost Controller in ensuring revenue and cost transactions are accurately recorded, reconciled and reported.
- Assist with investigating discrepancies and following up on outstanding revenue and cost items.
- Support corporate income tax, GST/VAT, withholding tax and other applicable tax and statutory requirements for assigned entities.
- Assist in preparing supporting schedules and documentation for tax and statutory submissions.
- Coordinate with external tax advisers and service providers as required.
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable and payment processing activities.
- Assist with monitoring aged balances and following up on outstanding items.
- Support working capital reporting and reconciliation activities.
- Assist with intercompany reconciliations and follow up on differences between entities.
- Maintain appropriate supporting documentation for intercompany and related-party transactions.
- Support statutory audits and financial reporting requirements.
- Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation as required.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisers and service providers on documentation and information requests.
- Support entity-level budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Prepare budget-versus-actual reports and assist with basic variance analysis.
- Provide financial information required for planning and management reporting.
- Support payroll-related finance activities across assigned entities in coordination with People Operations.
- Assist with payroll, bank, general ledger and statutory contribution reconciliations.
- Prepare employee cost schedules and payroll-related financial reports.
- Support compliance with Group finance policies, procedures and internal controls.
- Maintain accurate and complete accounting documentation and records.
- Assist with finance process improvement, reporting automation and system enhancement initiatives.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline.
- 2–4 years of relevant accounting or finance experience, preferably with exposure to a multi-entity or regional environment.
- Good working knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, month-end closing, reconciliations, AP/AR and intercompany accounting.
- Working knowledge of Singapore accounting and tax requirements. Exposure to Malaysia and Indonesia accounting or tax requirements is an advantage.
- Experience supporting statutory audits and payroll-related finance activities is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with ERP/accounting systems.
- Experience with Power BI, Power Automate or other reporting and automation tools is an advantage.
- Meticulous, organised and able to manage multiple entities, priorities and deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external advisers.
Skills Required
- Diploma or degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline
