Accounting & Tax Specialist (all genders)

As a Tax Specialist you'll support our Spanish finance team with monthly closings (Spanish GAAP, IFRS), tax compliance, annual accounts, and FP&A, working closely with auditors to keep our reporting accurate and efficient.

Your responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly accounting closings under Spanish GAAP
• Manage the consolidation of monthly reports in line with IFRS
• Review and manage recurring tax obligations, including VAT, withholding tax, and Corporate Income Tax (CIT)
• Advise the team on tax-related queries, covering VAT, local taxes, and general tax matters
• Assist in the preparation and review of Annual Financial Statements
• Support financial planning and analysis (FP&A), budgeting, and forecasting
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and help maintain a high standard of financial accuracy
• Prepare for audits and collaborate closely with external auditors to ensure smooth audit processes
• Identify opportunities to improve and streamline financial reporting processes
• Support the team with ad-hoc financial tasks as needed

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge in Spanish GAAP and IFRS and practical experience with tax compliance (VAT, CIT, withholding tax)
• Good understanding of SAP and advanced skills in MS tools (Excel)
• Professional fluency in Spanish and English both verbal and written
