Role Purpose
Support the accounting team with daily operations and assist with accounting overflow to help ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting across the dealership.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and submit DMV paperwork in accordance with state rules and deadlines
- Assist with deal breakdowns and prepare contracts for finance sources
- Support lien payoff processing and reconciliation
- Process daily accounting reports and reconcile DMV registration schedules
- Handle DMV customer refunds with manager approval
- Follow up on missing used vehicle titles
- Assist with quarterly audits (K-208s, titles, COOs, dealer plates)
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, including vehicle receivables, DMV, and lien payoffs
- Support miscellaneous accounting tasks as needed by management
- Ensure all work aligns with Hoffman Auto Group policies and procedures
What We’re Looking For
- High School Diploma required
- Basic bookkeeping knowledge and comfort working in Excel
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Clear communicator who works well with a team
- Reliable, professional, and deadline-driven
- Automotive or dealership accounting experience is a plus — but not required
