As an Accounting Supervisor, you will support the accounting functions of Busch Gardens Tampa and Adventure Island by performing various daily functions to ensure accurate financial results are being generated and overall corporate policies are being followed.

What you get to do:

  • Act as the Accounts Payable liaison for Busch Gardens and Adventure Island by performing a variety of tasks including, but not limited to:
    • Submit utility bills for parks and maintain utility tracking file used by the corporate office
    • Submit immediate need check requests and print checks
    • Research vendor payment issues and contact vendors for missing invoices
    • Research purchase orders that are blocked for payment due to receiving issues, pricing, lack of funds, etc.
  • Print and record hard copy tickets, meal coupons and other items as requested, and maintain ticket stock inventory
  • Enter inventory cycle counts as needed
  • Submit weekly revenue adjustments for special events to corporate
  • Review freight charges and reclass miscoded items accordingly to ensure charges are assigned to proper expense account or identified with a specific capital project
  • Track all vehicle tag renewals to ensure licensing of all vehicles are current
  • Maintain listing of all park licensing, fees, and other annual renewals to ensure timely filing and payment of dues
  • Within the Concur system, verify the correct account codes are assigned and ensure sales taxes are recorded correctly and paid on purchases
  • Maintain the storage and filing of all daily paperwork related to general accounting processes
  • Additional projects and tasks as assigned

What it takes to succeed:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; college degree in accounting, finance or related business discipline preferred
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, SAP knowledge preferred
  • Ability to quickly master propriety systems applications software and report writers
  • Ability to effectively perform in a multitask oriented environment to meet specific deadlines
  • Effective written and oral communication skills across all levels of the organization
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Office tools and functionality; intermediate skill level in Excel required
