The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance functions of the organization. This role ensures the accuracy of financial statements, adherence to regulatory requirements, and the effectiveness of financial processes. The Accounting Supervisor will work closely with senior management to support strategic decision-making.

This position is part of the Finance Department and will be located in Brazil – São Paulo (SP), reporting for the Controller Latam and Canada.

In this role, the key responsibilities are:

• Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and consolidation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with US, Local (Brazil & Canada) GAAP and accuracy in reporting.
• Internal Controls & Compliance: Monitor internal control policies and procedures to safeguard the company’s assets and ensure the integrity of financial data. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including tax regulations and corporate governance policies.
• Audit Coordination: Coordinate external and internal audits, ensuring timely and effective resolution of audit findings and recommendations.
• Financial Analysis & Strategic Support: Conduct financial analysis to support strategic initiatives, identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate financial implications of business decisions and provide recommendations to optimize financial performance.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the FP&A function. Implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial planning and analysis activities

The essential requirements of the job include:  

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional Certification: CPA or equivalent professional certification is required.
• Experience: 8+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, internal control frameworks, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Leadership: Strong leadership and team management abilities.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems.
• Exceptional communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
