What We're Looking For:
Are you an experienced, bilingual accounting professional ready to take your career to the next level? As our new Bilingual Accounting Supervisor for the LATAM region, you will be a key leader within our finance shared services organization. You will guide a talented team of specialists, ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial operations across Latin America. This is a role with significant international exposure and a clear path for growth into a management position, offering you the chance to drive process improvements and make a tangible impact on a global scale. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting specialists located across Latin America, fostering a culture of high performance and collaboration.
Drive the monthly US GAAP closing activities, ensuring timeliness and quality in all financial reporting.
Oversee and lead the review of balance sheet reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial data.
Collaborate closely with other departments, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Treasury, to ensure seamless financial operations.
Manage statutory filings (annual accounts, VAT returns, etc.) and coordinate with external service providers and auditors to ensure full compliance with local regulations.
Act as the primary escalation point for junior team members and support the training and onboarding of new hires.
Identify opportunities for process alignment and improvement within the LATAM region and contribute to global finance initiatives.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (both written and oral is required) for active communication with regional teams and corporate global stakeholders.
5+ years of professional experience in an accounting role (e.g., GL Accountant, Senior Auditor, GL Team Leader).
2-3 years of experience leading or supervising teams.
Solid experience with US GAAP and local accounting standards in Latin American countries (Mexico, Brazil, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional certification (e.g., CPA).
Experience working in a US-based multinational company or a major accounting firm (e.g., PwC, Deloitte, EY, KPMG).
Proficiency in Portuguese.
Experience with Oracle or another large ERP system.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt in a flexible, fast-paced environment.
