Essential Functions:
- Perform routine accounting functions with an emphasis on accounts payable
- Receive and process incoming checks for accounts receivable
- Review all company credit card transactions on a daily basis
- Administer and maintain company credit card system (Bill Spend & Expense)
- Process weekly payment runs, including printing checks and initiating ACH payments
- Assist with annual audit and provide appropriate documentation to the auditors when requested
- Support fellow accounting team members with other tasks as needed
Location: This in-office (not remote) position is located in Wooster, Ohio.
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:
Education/Experience: Any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
- Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent, graduation from an accredited college or university, in business field; or
- One to two years of experience in accounting, finance field or related area.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong written and verbal communication, administrative and organizational skills
- Plan, coordinate, and maintain varied and sometimes complex tasks
- High level of detailed organization skills and follow-up
- Proactive approach to problem solving, highly resourceful team player
- Enthusiasm to help without being asked
- Strong experience in Excel and other Microsoft Office skills
