MotorWorld is looking for an Accounting Specialist!
Accounting Specialist Duties:
- Monitor and balance all customer payable accounts for all car lines.
- Perform research related to these amounts, interacting with staff and management at all levels in all departments.
- Prepare all journal entries necessary to correct the general ledger related to these payables
- Research and code all body shop invoices for airbrush services. Post all to general ledger.
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations for numerous other high-volume general ledger accounts, making any general journal entries necessary.
- Act as backup for the other Accounting Department positions
- Perform Special Projects on an ad hoc basis in support of department management
- Perform various account reconciliations in support of interim and annual audits
Accounting Specialist Qualifications:
- Must be proficient in Excel with the ability to create and maintain spreadsheets utilizing intermediate functionality of the program
- Associate degree in Accounting or Business and 1-2 years’ experience working in an Accounting or Finance department required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Must be an independent, self-starting individual
