Opis oferty pracyThe main responsibility of the Accounting Specialist is to implement the company's policies and goals, as well as the individual goals and tasks defined for their position, by, among other things, carrying out tasks in the areas of finance and accounting, and participating in the implementation of processes.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to capably perform each of the following essential duties:
- Maintaining accounting records in the scope of general accounting in accordance with the requirements of the Accounting Act;
- Preparation of accounting source documents in accordance with the requirements of the Accounting Act – cash documents, external and own invoices;
- Timely settlement of the Company's payables and other obligations;
- Reconciliation of balances and settlements with customers and suppliers, balance confirmations, payment demands, collaboration with lawyers in the area of debt collection;
- Activities related to month-end closing and preparation of periodic reports;
- Activities related to year-end closing and preparation of financial reports;
- Activities related to the preparation of tax returns;
- Activities related to business trips reconciliation and reimbursements;
- Preparation of statistical reports;
- Maintaining contact with the Sales Department;
- Managing company correspondence regarding the activities of the Accounting Department;
- Securing documents;
- Collaboration with LGC employees in the field of financial risk management;
- Knowledge of the rules and procedures of the management system according to which the company operates (QMS compliant with ISO 9001 and Internal Control System) and compliance with them;
- Replacing absent Accounting Department employees and other employees as instructed by the immediate superior;
- Maintaining the confidentiality of information protected by law, in particular business secrets;
- Reporting threats, risks, incidents and other undesirable situations to the immediate supervisor or, in justified cases, to other persons indicated in the procedures;
- Streamlining existing processes and adapting them to changes in Polish law and Group policies, or implementing new processes if required;
- Collaborating with external accounting service providers and monitoring their work.
The accounting specialist is authorized to independently:
- Signing accounting documents;
- Conducting accounting correspondence within the scope agreed with the Head of Finance;
- Maintaining correspondence and documents relating to debt collection.
- Practical experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Good knowledge of Polish accounting regulations.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Secondary education as a minimum; accounting or finance qualifications would be an advantage.
- A careful and organised approach, with strong attention to accuracy and deadlines.
- The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the business.
- Experience with IFS and/or Symfonia ERP systems would be an advantage.
