Position Summary

We’re seeking a skilled Treasury Accounting Specialist to join our team and play a critical role in managing treasury operations that drive the financial success of a global leader in semiconductor technology.As the Treasury Accounting Specialist at Samsung Semiconductor Europe, you are responsible for managing and overseeing treasury-related accounting activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. This role involves a deep understanding of treasury operations, including cash management, foreign exchange (FX) trading, payment processing, and compliance with financial regulations.
Role and Responsibilities
- Ensure the timely and accurate posting of incoming and outgoing payments on a daily basis
- Preparation of bi-weekly FX Forward and Spot Deals to mitigate company’s FX exposure and optimize hedging efficiency
- Monitor and optimize cash flow by analyzing cashflows and preparation of daily cashflow report
- Ensure compliance with regulations by performing the bi-annual Treasury Health Check and reporting to our Headquarters
- Performing of manual payments and cash transfers as per payment calendar and on an ad-hoc basis
- Oversee cash flow forecasting (DCF) and daily bank balance (DBB) to ensure accurate cash position reporting.
- Communicate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and support during audits
- Liaise with internal (Regional Treasury HQ) and external (banks) stakeholders on a regular basis to ensure seamless treasury operations
- Primary point of contact for inter-departmental communication regarding payment status and related inquiries
Skills and Qualifications
- University degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting, treasury and finance
- Previous experience working in a treasury-related function within accounting, preferably a multinational corporation (2-4 years)
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills with high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to organize, prioritize, multi-task and handling high volume of queries under minimum supervision
- Proactive team player with ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
- Fluent in English (German is a plus) to collaborate effectively with your team members and other internal and external stakeholders
- Proficient in SAP and MS Office applications, with a focus on financial tools and systems
