Job DescriptionSan Diego Harley-Davidson is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to support multiple dealership locations by overseeing payroll accounting, commission and bonus calculations, account reconciliations, and month-end accounting processes.
This is a highly visible role that works closely with dealership leadership and corporate accounting teams to ensure accurate payroll administration, financial reporting, and compliance. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, multi-location environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Calculate and process complex commission and bonus plans for multiple dealership locations
- Prepare and submit payroll information for multiple companies to the central payroll department
- Maintain payroll-related accruals, expenses, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain accounting schedules
- Assist with month-end close activities and financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable payroll regulations
- Maintain strict confidentiality when handling payroll and employee information
- 2+ years of dealership, powersports, automotive, or related accounting experience preferred
- Payroll processing and payroll accounting experience preferred
- Experience with Lightspeed DMS is a plus
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and account reconciliations
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to work additional hours during payroll processing periods and month-end close as business needs require
