MUM Industries is seeking an Accounting Specialist with a primary focus on Accounts Payable who is eager to grow their accounting career while supporting both vendor and customer transactions. What You'll Do

Accounts Payable (Primary Focus)

• Process and verify vendor invoices for accuracy and proper approval.
• Manage vendor account inquiries and maintain positive vendor relationships.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and maintain vendor records, including W-9 documentation and annual 1099 reporting.
• Support timely and accurate payment processing.

Accounting Operations

• Assist with expense report review and processing.
• Support month-end accounting activities and reconciliations.
• Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.

Accounts Receivable Support

• Process customer invoices accurately and timely.
• Apply customer payments and cash receipts.
• Assist with customer account research and issue resolution.
• Support collections and account reconciliation activities as needed.

Systems & Reporting

• Utilize ERP software to process transactions and maintain financial records.
• Generate reports and analyze accounting data.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and streamline processes.

Required Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and computer skills.
• Experience working within an ERP system.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Global Shop/GlobalShop ERP
• Manufacturing environment experience is a plus.
• Experience supporting both A/P and A/R processes.
