We have an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Specialist, Financial Reporting & Consolidations.
This is will be a hybrid position based out of our East Hartford, Connecticut campus location.
What You Will Do:
The Financial Reporting and Consolidation team is seeking a highly motivated individual for an Accounting Specialist position.
The Financial Reporting & Consolidations position will be responsible for supporting Pratt & Whitney’s financial reporting requirements and the consolidation of actual results for monthly and quarterly reporting.
This is a key role to support the financial reporting and consolidation process of Pratt & Whitney for RTX. This role works closely with the RTX Controller’s Department and Pratt & Whitney, Group FP&A, Commercial Engines, Military Engines & Manufacturing accounting teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support 10Q and 10K related disclosures for RTX external filings.
- Analyze quarterly variances from strategic business units and coordinate outreach with key contacts.
- Support accounting activities for the group headquarters ledger such as record journal entries, perform account reconciliations and other analysis.
- Perform testing of key controls related to financial reporting and consolidation processes.
- Implement key policies and procedures ensuring consistency and accuracy with corporate requirements.
- Participate in ongoing transformation initiatives to enhance existing department processes.
- Assist with process improvements across reporting and consolidation workflows.
- Partner with Technical Accounting on special projects, including adoption of new accounting standard updates (ASUs).
- Report directly to the Associate Director of Financial Reporting and Consolidations.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field required with at least 5+ years of experience in Accounting and Finance; OR a Master's degree with 3+ years of experience in Accounting and Finance.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Familiarity of balance sheet and P&L analytics.
- Experience with SAP and HFM/OneStream.
- Strong understanding of accounting systems and controls.
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and analytical skills, including strong proficiency with process documentation and attention to detail.
- Ability to tailor communication to various audiences and support the sharing of information across the organization as necessary.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a multitasking and deadline-driven environment.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Certified Public Accountant.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
