Ampla Health is seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to support financial reporting, budgeting, reconciliations, audits, and daily accounting operations. This position works closely with the Controller to ensure accurate financial records and compliance with GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare financial reports, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and provider productivity reporting.
- Maintain general ledger accounts, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, prepaid accounts, and financial records.
- Prepare financial data for Medicare Cost Reports, UDS, OSHPD, audits, and other regulatory reporting.
- Support Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Purchasing, and Fixed Assets.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, audit requirements, and internal accounting controls.
- Assist with annual audits and special financial projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting or equivalent combination of education and four (4) years of accounting experience.
- Knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, reconciliations, and nonprofit/governmental accounting principles.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; MIP accounting software experience preferred.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Skills Required
