- Submit retirement contributions, garnishments, and other payroll payments
- Support onboarding and offboarding, and resolve employee pay issues
- Work directly with subcontractors and train them on project reporting requirements
- Prepare and submit monthly union remittance reports and fringe contributions to trust funds, reconcile them to payroll records, and track CBA rate changes
- Process vendor invoices, code expenses, match to POs and receiving documents, support weekly check runs and electronic payments, and maintain vendor records (W-9s, 1099 information)
- Process monthly company credit card statements, match receipts, code and post charges to the GL, and follow up with cardholders on missing receipts or discrepancies
- Complete monthly reconciliations of assigned balance sheet accounts (payroll liabilities, accruals, intercompany, prepaids), clear reconciling items, and prepare recurring and adjusting journal entries with support
- Help with month-end and year-end close
- Track and renew business licenses, contractor licenses, permits, and registrations across jurisdictions, maintaining a renewal calendar and current copies on file
- Prepare schedules and documents for external auditors and support payroll, union, and agency compliance audits
Tools You’ll Use
Microsoft Excel, UKG (payroll), Sage 300 (accounting only), and Acumatica, which is being implemented now as the new system. LCPtracker or similar certified payroll tools are a plus.
